A Few Words About Me

Sungduk is currently focused on introducing first-hand material on Ancient West Asian history and archaeology in Korean, such as epigraphical sources from the land of Israel and its neighbors.

Education

Sungduk holds a master’s degree in History of the Jewish People (M.A.) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and in the Ministry (M.Div.) from Yale Divinity School. Sungduk has a Ph.D. on the Hebrew Bible and Ancient Near Eastern Studies from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

Professional Experience

Sungduk teaches various courses about the Hebrew Bible and the Ancient Near Eastern Studies in different universities at Seoul, Korea. Among them are courses on ancient languages (biblical and modern Hebrew and Acadian), history (History of Ancient West Asia and Ancient Israel), and culture (Religion and Culture of Ancient West Asia and Ancient Israel).
