O nome\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/B%C3%ADblia_hebraica\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">b\u00edblico<\/a>\u00a0para este feriado \u00e9\u00a0<strong><em>Yom Teruah<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(\u05d9\u05d5\u05b9\u05dd \u05ea\u05b0\u05bc\u05e8\u05d5\u05bc\u05e2\u05b8\u05d4\u200e), literalmente &#8220;dia de gritar\/explodir&#8221;, uma vez que a Tor\u00e1 prescreve o som do shofar em Rosh HaShanah.<\/p>\n<p>No Juda\u00edsmo, o dia em que celebramos como Rosh Hashanah \u2014o primeiro dia de Tishrei\u2014 n\u00e3o \u00e9 realmente o anivers\u00e1rio da Cria\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 o anivers\u00e1rio do sexto dia da Cria\u00e7\u00e3o, quando Ad\u00e3o e Eva foram criados.\u00a0O anivers\u00e1rio do primeiro dia da Cria\u00e7\u00e3o seria cinco dias antes, no vig\u00e9simo quinto dia de Elul;\u00a0no entanto, de acordo com o entendimento Judaico, \u00e9 somente quando o homem foi criado que toda a cria\u00e7\u00e3o tornou-se significativa.\u00a0&#8220;Tudo foi criado anteriormente, mas nada disso era digno de ser chamado o come\u00e7o da obra de Deus at\u00e9 que o homem abriu os olhos para v\u00ea-lo, sua mente para compreend\u00ea-lo, seu cora\u00e7\u00e3o para gui\u00e1-lo&#8221;.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Na tradi\u00e7\u00e3o Rab\u00ednica, o nascimento da humanidade acrescentou ao universo a possibilidade de Deus ser proclamado Rei. Portanto, a soberania de Deus e a realeza de Deus s\u00e3o os principais temas de Rosh Hashanah e os dez dias do Ju\u00edzo que com ele se inicia.\u00a0A <em>ora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> \u201cAvinu Malkeinu\u201d (Nosso Pai, nosso Rei)\u00a0\u00a0\u00e9 recitada diariamente de Rosh Hashanah at\u00e9 o Yom Kippur.<\/p>\n<p>Os costumes de Rosh Hashanah incluem participar dos servi\u00e7os na sinagoga, soar o shofar e recitar liturgia especial\u2014e, claro, desfrutar de refei\u00e7\u00f5es festivas e comer alimentos simb\u00f3licos, como ma\u00e7\u00e3s mergulhadas no mel\u2014 esperando e desejando a todos Shanah Metuka \u2014\u05e9\u05e0\u05d4 \u05de\u05ea\u05d5\u05e7\u05d4\u2014 Um Doce Ano Novo!<\/p>\n<h2>A cabe\u00e7a e n\u00e3o a cauda<\/h2>\n<p>Um dos alimentos simb\u00f3licos (dificilmente o mais atraente) que \u00e9 costume comer em Rosh HaShanah \u00e9 a cabe\u00e7a de um peixe.\u00a0Antes de comer a cabe\u00e7a, a seguinte ben\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 recitada:\u00a0<em>Que seja Sua vontade, nosso Deus e o Deus de nossos antepassados, que sejamos como a cabe\u00e7a e n\u00e3o a cauda.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>O que isso significa?\u00a0Por que dizemos isso?\u00a0Esta ben\u00e7\u00e3o vem de\u00a0Deuteron\u00f4mio 28:13:<em> &#8220;E o Senhor vos far\u00e1 a cabe\u00e7a e n\u00e3o a cauda;\u00a0voc\u00eas estar\u00e3o somente acima, e n\u00e3o estar\u00e3o abaixo, se prestarem aten\u00e7\u00e3o aos mandamentos do Senhor seu Deus, que hoje eu ordeno, e sejam cuidadosos em observ\u00e1-los&#8221;.<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Existem diferentes interpreta\u00e7\u00f5es do significado desta ben\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0De acordo com Ramban, por exemplo, a b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o se refere ao\u00a0status pol\u00edtico\u00a0<strong>externo<\/strong>\u00a0da na\u00e7\u00e3o de Israel: eles &#8220;estar\u00e3o sempre no topo e nunca no fundo&#8221; das outras na\u00e7\u00f5es.\u00a0Por outro lado, havia rabinos que pensavam que a b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o era sobre a qualidade da lideran\u00e7a\u00a0<strong>dentro<\/strong> do \u00a0povo de Israel.<\/p>\n<p>A conclus\u00e3o, no entanto, \u00e9 que essa b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o se refere a todos.\u00a0Deus quer que n\u00f3s transformemos a realidade, para mold\u00e1-la, em vez de nos conformarmos e deixando\u00a0&#8211; a\u00a0<em>nos moldar<\/em>.\u00a0O conceito de \u2018cabe\u00e7a\u2019 indica excel\u00eancia e coragem: a cabe\u00e7a avan\u00e7a e conduz, enquanto a cauda apenas segue atr\u00e1s dos outros.<\/p>\n<p>Assim, quando se inicia o Ano Novo,\u00a0<strong>que voc\u00eas possam ser a cabe\u00e7a e n\u00e3o a cauda!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>A leitura de Rosh Hashanah<\/h2>\n<p>Dois cap\u00edtulos da Tor\u00e1 s\u00e3o lidos nas sinagogas durante o Rosh Hashanah.\u00a0No passado, minha aten\u00e7\u00e3o sempre foi atra\u00edda pelo fato de que G\u00eanesis 22,\u00a0<em>Akedah Itzhak<\/em>, \u00e9 lido a cada Ano Novo Judaico.\u00a0\u00c9 altamente significativo que, em cada\u00a0<em>Rosh Hashanah<\/em>,\u00a0cada Ano Novo, seja lida esta parte,\u00a0<em>Akedah<\/em>,\u00a0sobre o sacrif\u00edcio de Isaque.\u00a0Como escrevi em meu livro<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a>: &#8220;o povo de Israel olha essa hist\u00f3ria com sentimentos mistos de medo e admira\u00e7\u00e3o, entendendo que ela de alguma forma tem significado para o destino deles&#8221;. Sem d\u00favida, a maioria dos meus leitores leu este cap\u00edtulo v\u00e1rias vezes \u2014a hist\u00f3ria do sacrif\u00edcio de Isaque,\u00a0<em>Aqedah Itzhak<\/em>,\u00a0\u00e9 de fato o centro e o auge da vida de Abra\u00e3o\u2014. Para mim, pessoalmente, G\u00eanesis 22 sempre simbolizou o Sacrif\u00edcio.\u00a0O pr\u00f3prio cap\u00edtulo parecia um ponto alto e solit\u00e1rio de obedi\u00eancia e f\u00e9 sem precedentes e inimit\u00e1vel.\u00a0Durante muitos anos, todos os cap\u00edtulos em torno dele me pareciam muito menos significativos, menos importantes, quase vagos e nebulosos em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com esse ponto assustador, claramente vis\u00edvel contra o pano de fundo do c\u00e9u, uma silhueta acentuada e escarpada com sua exig\u00eancia assustadoramente clara.\u00a0Assim, quando escrevi um livro sobre o mist\u00e9rio do sacrif\u00edcio de Israel, foi baseado em G\u00eanesis 22\u00a0e come\u00e7ou com reflex\u00f5es sobre G\u00eanesis 22.<\/p>\n<p>Mas, h\u00e1 alguns anos atr\u00e1s, quando escrevi outro livro, meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o foi transpassado por uma percep\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00fabita: pela primeira vez eu percebi \u2014embora, claro, na minha cabe\u00e7a, eu sabia disso o tempo todo\u2014 que cada Ano Novo, tamb\u00e9m lemos G\u00eanesis 21.\u00a0No primeiro dia de Rosh Hashanah, antes da leitura de Isaque, lemos o cap\u00edtulo anterior: G\u00eanesis 21, a hist\u00f3ria do banimento de Ismael.\u00a0O feriado de Rosh Hashanah consiste em dois dias, como alguns dos meus leitores devem saber, e estes dois cap\u00edtulos s\u00e3o lidos, lado a lado, todos os anos.\u00a0Na verdade, este \u00e9 o \u00fanico feriado Judaico que \u00e9 celebrado durante dois dias tanto em Israel como fora de Israel, como se fosse dividido precisamente por esse motivo: um dia para cada cap\u00edtulo.\u00a0E, como sempre acontece, uma vez que vi, tornou-se t\u00e3o claro: uma vez que foi feito, n\u00e3o poderia ser desfeito.\u00a0De repente, o auge solit\u00e1rio de G\u00eanesis 22\u00a0j\u00e1 n\u00e3o estava mais sozinho.\u00a0O Auge de G\u00eanesis 21\u00a0cresceu ao lado dele, quase t\u00e3o alto e assustador quanto o Auge de G\u00eanesis 22.\u00a0H\u00e1 duas hist\u00f3rias de sacrif\u00edcio na vida de Abra\u00e3o, n\u00e3o uma.\u00a0H\u00e1 dois sacrif\u00edcios no livro de G\u00eanesis, n\u00e3o um, e hoje, em retrospectiva, reescreveria as frases que acabei de citar do meu livro: &#8220;\u00c9 altamente significativo que em cada\u00a0<em>Rosh Hashanah<\/em> cada Ano Novo,\u00a0<em>essas<\/em>\u00a0por\u00e7\u00f5es&#8230; sejam lidas&#8221;.
