"IIBS was kind enough to admit me into a level 2 course of biblical Hebrew even though my first year was taken with a different lecturer. It has been fantastic reviewing everything from year 1 with this year's course and having a reinforced learning environment is amazing. We go through the material by reading, carefully looking at every grammatical structure, and using visual aides and cues for us visual learners like using picture matching, solving puzzles, etc. The material also includes textual definitions of grammar, vocabulary, and other rules and descriptions pertaining to the biblical Hebrew. The course is not just one way of teaching, it really uses all kinds of ways including a classic academic text-book format which some might find helpful when the visuals become too much to handle. Basically, it is varying, and the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies really does a great job of offering SO MUCH material to learn from! Videos, music, cantillation, interesting news articles, and much more. there are also open classes in different languages which I think is great for people who may have learnt the foundations of Hebrew in a different language besides English."
