Biblical Hebrew
"I enjoy languages and the etymology of words. When studying the Bible I have previously used Bible Study Tools (on the internet) with commentaries whereby I saw that many of the commentaries alluded to Biblical Hebrew. and I found this intriguing. I recognise that meanings often get lost in translation ( as with the french I speak English being my first language). Hence I decided to learn the Biblical Hebrew language in order to gain a better understanding of the Bible to have a better perspective of the original meaning. I am finding the "Biblical Hebrew A' course inspiring yet challenging, The lessons are intensive yet enjoyable, and the video conferencing with the lecturer and other students is invaluable. There is quite a lot of course material which aids studying outside of the video conferencing hour, I usually try to do a little studying every day I am so motivated, and this helps greatly. I thought beforehand that it might be too difficult for me, it is so different to english, but I enjoy it so much I am loving the course and look forward to the weekly lessons."
