"To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how I ended up here at Israel Institute of Biblical Studies, but it has led to years of eye-opening exposure to a “behind the scenes” look at what we often just take for granted in our modern expositions of the Bible. The studies are at once solidifying and challenging my own search over the past 15+ years to understand the most fundamental questions of life - who are we and where do we come from? Understanding the origins and morphology of the sources of our current Biblical knowledge is absolutely essential to interpreting the original meanings and context - and how we have translated those into contemporary perspectives.
