"I am really enjoying Biblical Hebrew with Jared Henson. He is a delightful teacher who conveys the information with quiet authority and a sense of humour. Let's face, it, rules of grammar aren't intrinsically fun, but the coursework is structured in such a way that we actually read the scriptures while learning, for example, how sentences can be constructed without verbs. Jared also has a very wide knowledge of history and of the evolution of the Hebrew language. Each class is an adventure in learning. A couple other students participate actively, while there are a couple who are apparently monitoring the course without participating, which is fine, too. Learning a new language (or, in this case a very old language) is difficult, and it takes a while to feel confident, or to make mistakes without feeling too silly. Jared helps us all to feel comfortable and engaged with the subject matter. "
