Dr. Maria Chrysovergi, MA, Ph.D.
About me
Maria Chrysovergi is a Biblical Greek teacher and the Academic Advisor for the Greek campus at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies.
She holds a BA in Theology and a MA in Old Testament studies from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2006, she received a scholarship from the Greek Board of State Scholarships Foundation, and she moved to Durham, UK, where she pursued further postgraduate studies. She received a MA in Theology and Religion and a Ph.D. in Second Temple Judaism from the Department of Theology and Religion at Durham. Her doctoral thesis focused on the use of medicine in Jewish literature of the third and second centuries BCE.
